Spix's Macaw

The Spix's Macaw, no sightings of this macaw have been made in the wild since 2000, but part of the range has not been surveyed, so it cannot be presumed to be extinct in the wild. The species is conserved through several breeding programs. It was found in Brazil, in parts of the Brazilian state of Bahia.

South China Tiger

The South China tiger or South Chinese tiger , also known as the Chinese, Amoy, or Xiamen tiger,and is a subspecies of tiger native to the forests of Southern China. The South China tiger is one of the smaller and the most critically endangered of the living tiger subspecies.

Scimitar Oryx

The Scimitar Oryx is just over a metre at the shoulder and weighs around two hundred kilograms. Its coat is white with a red-brown chest and black markings on the forehead and down the length of the nose. The horns are long, thin and parallel and curve backwards (like a scimitar) and can reach a metre to a metre and a quarter on both sexes, male and female.

The White Rhino , formerly ranged over parts of north-western Uganda, southern Chad, south-western Sudan, the eastern part of Central African Republic, and north-eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo. The only confirmed population today occurs in north-eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo.

The class Gastropoda or gastropods form a major part of the phylum Mollusca. Gastropods are more commonly known as snails and slugs. This is the most diversified class in the phylum, with 60,000 to 80,000  living species. There are 409 recent families of gastropods. Fossil gastropods represent another 202 families.

Butterfly Goodeid or Butterfly Splitfin, was formerly found throughout the Ameca River drainage in Mexico; the type locality is Rio Teuchitlán in the vicinity of Teuchitlán, Jalisco. The species was only ever found in an area about 10 miles (15 km) in diameter.

The Black Soft-shelled Turtle or Bostami Turtle  is a species of freshwater turtle found in India and Bangladesh . It was for long believed to be inbred individuals of the Ganges Soft-shelled Turtle or the Peacock Soft-shelled Turtle , but while it is a close relative of the latter it is a good and distinct species.
