On May 18, 1980, one of America's most famous natural disasters occurred when Mount St. Helens blew its top. This remarkable documentary chronicles the day's dramatic events, from the explosion of gray ash into the sky to the ensuing rescue efforts. Shot in IMAX format, the Oscar-nominated film features stunning cinematography that presents the historic cataclysm in incredible detail with unsullied views and magnificent scenery.
